Over 150 teenagers attended the event last week that brought the Municipal Pool's swimming season to a close. The event was a joint initiative between the Modiin Matnas Youth Unit and the Modiin Economic Company, and served with the purpose of providing another activity for youth during Sukkot.
The event was aimed at students grades 9 and up, and teenagers showed up from all over the city. The party was run by the Municipal Youth Council and the Youth Unit's staff, and representatives from the Economic Company were present throughout the whole event. The many teenagers swam underneath the moonlight while a DJ provided background music.
"The event was the first of its kind," said Youth Leadership Coordinator Lottem Duani, "The joint cooperation allowed for productive work, and we will cooperate to benefit the youth throughout the entire year. The event came to a close without any disturbances, and the teenagers had a very good time."
In addition to this event, the Youth Unit opened the Youth Club to teenagers every night during the Sukkot vacation. They also held free salsa lessons, and the Jack Music Club and M'Kafe La'Ozen were also active during the holiday.
