Modiin Maccabim Reut Municipality will begin enforcing paid parking in the Iriyah parking lot on Rechov Dam Hamaccabim on March 1, 2019. Over the past few weeks, warnings were issued by the city’s supervisors to remind residents and visitors of the new procedures in the parking lot. There are also signs at the entrance to the parking lot explaining that it is paid parking between 7:00 and 19:00 except for residents with the parking sticker on their windshield. In addition, the city will be issuing fines for parking offenses in all the city’s public parking lots including the lot across from Heichal Hatarbut, the parking lots near Park Anabe and the city streets.

This is the third parking lot to join the paid parking arrangement in the city – parking lot near Park Anabe and by Caffit. Parking in the parking lot by Caffit is prohibited for all cars on Sunday – Thursday, between 07:00 and 09:00. The rest of the day, parking is free for residents with a parking sticker.

The new paid parking arrangement went into effect in November 2017 to provide free parking for residents in the main parking lots in the city with non-residents paying 2.81 shekels per hour. Around 17,000 parking stickers have been issued to residents of the city. Click here to fill out form to receive a parking sticker. Attach copy of teudat zehut and car registration or copy of approval from leasing officer (for those with leased cars). Residents can pick up their parking sticker in the city’s Collections Department in the Azrieli Mall or receive it in the mail.

The new parking regulations will allow for residents to enjoy parking at no cost in municipal parking lots if the parking pass is displayed on the car’s windshield, preferably top right side. The Iriyah has posted guidelines in the parking lots with details about the new parking arrangements. The Iriyah noted that just like in other cities in Israel, payment for parking in parking lots can be made online using the "Pango" and "CelloPark" applications or through the device "EasyPark." Parking for non-residents will cost 2.81 NIS per hour. Every parking lot will have signs with all the details and instructions regarding the new regulations and pricing. The fine for parking without a parking pass or not paying for parking is 100 shekels.
