According to statistics released by “Or Yarok”, Modiin Maccabim Reut is among the cities with the lowest percentage of casualties due to a road accident in Israel in 2015-2017, with a figure of 0.8 casualties per thousand residents. This data is the result of an examination that included cities with more than 50,000 residents, and road accidents occurred in their area. Since 2009, the city has taken steps to increase road safety in the city, including adding traffic circles, speed bumps and crosswalks.

The number of traffic accidents and casualties in the city has decreased over the past nine years: In 2009 – 115 car accidents with 214 injured, and one death; 2013 – 63 car accidents with 121 injured; 2016 – 37 car accidents with 71 injured; 2017 (January – October) – 27 car accidents with 66 injured.
