One hundred and twenty olim completed ulpan in the city and another session has already begun. The ulpan course took place over five months, where olim from different countries, including America, Brazil and South Africa, learned Hebrew language and Israeli culture. On the last day of ulpan, the olim toured the hilltop named for Amnon Lipkin-Shahak, on Givat Habrushim, followed by a party. Director of the Absorption Department, Rozita Berlin, wished the olim well and said that she is sure that the ulpan will be a strong foundation for their absorption in Israel, connecting them to the city and strengthening their bond with the residents of the city. The new semester of ulpan began with 30 new olim with another 40 olim joining this week.
