Modiin Maccabim Reut's newest Bituach Leumi branch will open at the Azrieli Mall on December 5, 2010, in the presence of Minister of Social Affairs Yitzhak Hertzog and Mayor Haim Bibas. There have been many attempts over the years by the municipality and the National Insurance Institute to open a branch that will operate in an organized manner a number of days throughout the week, not just one day week as was the case until now. These efforts have finally paid off, and the city residents will not be able to sort of their national insurance matters within the city without having to drive to the regional branch in Ramla.
In order to open the branch, a suitable space was rented out in one of the Azrieli Mall's office buildings. Over the past few months, the place has been worked on to suit the needs of the branch in anticipation towards its grand opening. The branch will provide services on all of Bituach Leumi's subject areas, such including rehabilitation services which until now were only provided in Ramla or Modiin Ilit (Kiryat Sefer). Modiin's unique character has been taken into consideration, including the fact that the city is made up of young families with children and has a high employment rate of residents who work mainly outside of Modiin, and reception hours will therefore be made convenient for the working population as well.
The municipality has worked hard over the last year to open an organized and suitable branch for the city's residents, but it is important to note the National Insurance Institute's cooperation with everything having to do with finding a home for the branch. Bituach Leumi has also increased its activity in the city, in cooperation with the Social Services Branch headed by Ya'akov Almog.
