With the slogan "volunteering together for the community," ESRA is known across Israel for bringing English-speakers together to socialize and give back. At the beginning of the month, ESRA Modiin proudly opened the doors of Modiin's first-ever second-hand English bookshop, Esrabooks. When we wrote about the grand opening, we mentioned that all Esrabook proceeds will benefit ESRA Modiin's charitable projects -- including Neve Esra, an afternoon moadonit for at-risk ages 9-11 in cooperation with the municipality's Welfare Department. Now, Esra Modiin extends a cordial invitation to all Modiin residents to attend the benefit launch of this project with Guest of Honor Mayor Haim Bibas.
The event will take place on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 7:30pm at Business Class, Beit Yonatan on the 5th floor of the Azrieli Mall. Light supper will be accompanied by presentations and musical entertainment by singer Jill Rogoff playing her harp, along with other artists. All attendees' contributions of 65NIS (non-members) or 55NIS (members) will directly support the furnishing of the private consultation/therapy room at Neve Ezra.
Please help the Neve Esra children through your generosity! For tickets, contact Cynthia at 050-825-1923 or Jackie at 052-747-2151.
