For the second year in a row, the city participated in the prestigious IMTM (International Mediterranean Tourism Market) exhibition at the Convention Center in Tel Aviv last week. The exhibition is the largest annual tourism fair of its kind and is used to promote domestic tourism and outgoing tourism, as well as to strengthen cooperation between tourist groups in Israel and other places in the world. About 2,000 representatives of airlines, cities in Israel and abroad, hotels, shipping companies and attractions from dozens of countries participated in the fair.

Alongside the nature and heritage sites and hiking trails the city offered at the fair, special emphasis was placed on Givat Titora, which was recently upgraded, to provide an attractive center for visitors and travelers, with restored agricultural items, audio explanations, pleasant seating areas overlooking the landscape and a main trail accessible to baby strollers and people with wheelchairs.
They also presented the future of the city, which will also constitute a tourist attraction, including the hotel, whose construction will begin soon, and the unique Chashmonaim heritage museum, which is expected to open in about two years.

The concept chosen to present the city at the fair under the slogan, "This is the time to discover," was to present the city on three levels of time - past, present and future. Visitors to the exhibition also received a leaflet containing two possible routes for a trip to the city, one focusing on heritage and nature and a second on urban attractions and nature. Among the visitors to the city’s booth were tour guides, residents of the city, Minister of Tourism, Yariv Levin who was happy to see the city participating in the fair.
