Registration is open for residents who are interested in opening their homes for candle lighting on Chanukah to be part of the “batim madlikim (homes light up)” program. The “batim madlikim” program is organized by Amutat Sachlavim and the Department for Culture and Events to strengthen the Jewish-Israeli identity and bring together residents of the city. As part of the project, families around the city open their homes to residents of the city to light candles and other residents volunteer to supervise a variety of cultural activities.
The program will take place on Monday and Tuesday, December 3-4 – the second and third nights of Chanukah. The program encourages a deeper connection between residents. Residents who are interested in preparing activities and families interested in opening their homes for candle lighting can register through the Amutat Sachlavim website until November 18.
