Work is under way to build innovative learning spaces in the city’s schools, so that most will be completed in two months. The program began in May, after the Ministry of Education approved the request for the program in the city’s schools including: Ofek, Alonim, Shivtei Yisrael, Cramim, Hayovel, Inbalim, Ironi Bet, Netiv Zevulun, Ramon, Nitzanim, Shibolim and Ironi Hey. The goal of the program is to create an innovative, advanced learning space that stimulates thinking and curiosity, which is consistent with the spirit of 21st-century learning. In the schools, two study spaces are being built according to this plan, estimated at 160,000 shekels, financed by the municipality and the Ministry of Education.
Many professionals have participated in the planning and execution of the project, including architects or designers who have chosen, together with school principals, the vision and concept of the study spaces. All work is being done under supervision by the Municipal Public Buildings Division. All the work conforms to safety regulations and adaptation to the installation of the fire extinguisher. The works include, among other things and in accordance with the architectural plans that have been submitted, upgrading the spaces in the schools, including redesigning the place, upgrading the rooms and so on. In addition, most of the study spaces are made of unique carpentry works, including the assembling of stages and specially designed desks and discussion tables. In addition, some of the spaces have new unique sports facilities. Over the next few months, each school will be furnished according to the prescribed plan.
