The Ministry of Education’s National Prize Committee announced on Monday that Yeshivat Bnei Akiva Lapid Modiin is being awarded the prestigious National Education Prize for the 2017-18 School year. The prize committee chose the Yeshiva after a long and complex process, in which it examined the school's performance in different areas. They also visited the school, where the committee members learned about the various educational programs in the school. Around 10 schools earn the National Education Prize each year. The Yeshiva will receive a certificate and a monetary prize.
This is the fifth consecutive year that a school from the city has won the prestigious award. Last year, Ulpanat Orot Modiin earned the National Education Prize. Two years ago, MOR High School received the award, three years ago Yachad and the Gvanim School for special education, and the year before Ironi Bet.
