Over the past few months, there were 16 first aid courses training over 500 residents. The courses were initiated by the city’s Department of Health Promotion, in cooperation with United Hatzalah and Maccabi Health. A wide range of residents from different populations in the city participated in the courses, including single mothers, senior citizens, parents of children with special needs, families, caretakers of the elderly, youth counselors and more. The course takes place in a one-time session of four hours, during which participants are taught about important subjects, including choking, resuscitation of adults and infants, use of defibrillator, seizures and stopping bleeding.
There will be another 25 courses during the summer. The courses are free and are open to the public. For details and registration, contact Michal Elimelech at 0732326431.
