The District Planning and Building Committee recently approved the plan for the allocation of designated areas for the construction of permanent buildings for Magen David Adom (MDA) and a fire and rescue station. The buildings will be built on Emek HaElla, near Horshet Hanoflim. The MDA station will be a medium-sized building and will serve the residents of Modiin and the surrounding areas. Mayor Bibas toured the area with the Director General of MDA, Eli Bin where they discussed that MDA would expedite the construction of the station so they could move their operation from the caravans. MDA and Fire and Rescue Services are preparing to sign the land acquisition agreement from the Israel Land Authority so that they can move forward with the planning and construction of the buildings. This is another important step in the Iriyah’s efforts to clear out the caravans, which includes the police station that is expected to move to its permanent building in the city center in about eight months.
