Work on the pedestrian bridge connecting Einav Center and the Paatei Modiin train station will begin this month. The work will be carried out by Israel Railways as part of their work on the Jerusalem-Modiin train. Work on the Jerusalem-Modiin train is expected to be completed at the end of 2019. In addition to work on the bridge, they have been working on building additional parking near Route 431 (south of the train station) for passengers of the train. Work on the parking lot, that will include around 1,000 parking spots and the pedestrian bridge will continue for around a year, until the end of 2018.
Route 431 will be closed on the following days:
- Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 20:00 until Friday at 6:00 - the section (east to west) between inner-city Route 3 Yehuda HaMaccabi and Paatei Modiin will be closed. Detour to Emek Zevulun, Sederot Hamercazit, Technology Park.
- Sunday, December 24.2017 from 20:00 until Monday at 6:00 - the section (west to east) between Paatei Modiin and the eastern exit of Einav Center will be closed. Detour to Einav Center, Sederot HaMelachot and exit to Route 431.
- Monday, January 8, 2018 from 20:00 until Tuesady at 6:00 - the section (east to west) between inner-city Route 3 Yehuda HaMaccabi and Paatei Modiin will be closed. Detour to Emek Zevulun, Sederot Hamercazit, Technology Park.
The work schedule is subject to change according to the weather conditions and the Iriyah advises residents to follow the signs and drive carefully.
