Students from Yachad High School participated in the “Jewish Connections” project in memory of the three boys murdered in the summer of 2014, Gil-ad Shaer, Naftali Fraenkel and Eyal Yifrach. Gil-ad’s parents, Bat Galim and Ofir Shaer initiated the “Jewish Connections” project. Eleventh grade students from Yachad put together around 2,500 mishloach manot packages, along with teenagers from Talmon to be sent overseas. They were among the volunteers who handed out the mishloach manot to travelers at the airport with the request to hand them out to the first Jew they meet in the country that they are travelling to. Travelers took the mishloach manot to various countries, including Japan, Belgium, Brazil, Italy, Turkey, Holland and many more around the world.
