The “Kosher Kravi” army preparation course of Tzevet Yonatan that is run by Amutat Sachlavim is starting a new program. Students in grades 10-12 can come to a practice once a week, at no cost. The free practice will take place on Tuesdays at 19:00 at Park Hativat Yiftach.
In addition to the free course, there is also a new running group for grades 10-12 at the low cost of 50 shekels per month. The running group will train once a week and participate in different running competitions, including the Modiin Race that will take place in the city in November.
The city’s teens are invited to join the course and running group but must register in advance on the Amutat Sachlavim website. The purpose of the Tzevet Yonatan activities is to ensure that the city’s teens are in physical shape to help them better prepare for their army recruitment.
The new running group and free practice are in addition to the army preparation course that has been operating in the city for 17 years and is led by Yonatan Reber. The regular course began last week and the participants will spend the year training, traveling, navigating, learning Krav Maga, and dealing with challenging physical and mental tasks and training for the high demands of the elite units including special preparation training for reconnaissance and practice days simulating the requirements and tasks in the army.
