The Olim Center is offering a parenting course for parents of all ages, a photo chug for teens, drama chug for adults and Chanukah camp for children.
Sheffer school of parenting – only few spots left (Workshop are in ENGLISH). For all parents of all ages! Will start next Tuesday, October 24 and meet every Tuesday evening 20:00-21:30. The Sheffer approach offers an opportunity for parents to engage in fascinating and deep introspection regarding the parent-child relationship, thereby attaining an understanding of the dynamics between parent and child. This understanding ultimately leads to improvement in the behavior of the child as well as the general atmosphere in the home. The course will provide parents with practical tools for solving dilemmas in child-rearing, enabling them to develop a new outlook regarding their children’s’ hidden strengths and talents and to rediscover the joy in raising their children. Photo Chug for teens – on SUNDAYS (changed from Mondays) Olim up to 10 years in Israel ages 14-18. 10 meetings in EASY HEBREW (22 hours) Cost: 120 NIS for the entire course (Instead of 700 NIS – subsidized by the Absorption Department) SUNDAYS 17:30-19:30 –Will open only once there are enough registered. Registration by payment only: First come first serve. The cameras to bring to the course need to be with control over the shooting modes such as: Zoom, priority, shutter, shutter priority, Manuel etc.
Drama Chug for adult olim from all countries who have been here for up to 10 years. It will be run in simple Hebrew. The goal of the chug is to improve confidence, advance Hebrew development, perform in front of an audience, strengthen self-esteem and increase social base. The chug will take place once a week at the olim center and will open once a group of 15 register.
Chanukah Camp for Modiin Olim who have been in Israel for up to 10 years. The camp will take place December 17-20, 2017; 8:30-12:30 for children in grades 1-6. The camp is subsidized: 150nis for the entire camp. If there are not enough people signed up for the camp, it will be cancelled.
