In honor of the State of Israel's 70th Independence Day, the Population Registry published updated figures on the residents of Modi'in Maccabim Reut. The city that started with 898 residents in 1996 has grown over the years to a city of 93,566 residents, 1,346 more than last year, according to the latest statistics (3/29/18). There is an almost equal amount of men and women, 46,926 women and 46,640 men.
The Ministry of Aliyah and Integration published statistics of olim residents in Modiin Maccabim Reut. Over the past 14 years, between January 1, 2003 and December 31, 2017, 3,733 olim came straight to Modiin Maccabim Reut, which constitutes 4% of the city’s residents. Almost half of the olim came from the United States (1,528 olim); 391 from Russia and 378 from France. Last year, 260 olim came straight to the city, 44 from the United States, 16 from England and 13 from France.
Since the beginning of 2018, 270 babies were born in Modiin Maccabim Reut. The Cramim neighborhood leads with 42 babies born during this period. Avnei Chen-31 babies; Mesuah-25 babies; Meginim-25 babies. Since 1996, 20,738 residents have been born in the city - 22% of the residents of the city.
