The events for Yom Haatzmaut 2018 will take place Erev Yom Haatzmaut, Wednesday, April 18 and will include three stages and celebrations with a party for the youth on the main stage on Emek HaHula. The total cost for all the performers at this year’s Yom Haatzmaut events is around 450,000 shekels.
The Main Stage
20:00: Live broadcast of the lighting ceremony on Har Herzl followed by the transition ceremony from Yom Hazikaron to Yom Haatzmaut.
20:50: The Revivo Project – Israeli musical ensemble performing cover versions of songs from the seventies and eighties, from the Mizrahi music genre in Israel.
At the end of their performance there will be a local production, "I am Israeli," which will present a spectacular show about 70 years of Israeli culture, with the participation of the city's dance and acrobatics groups and a singing group.
Miri Mesika, Israeli singer and actress, will take the stage after the production. She won several Israeli Female Singer of the Year awards and recently performed with Amir Benayoun and David D'Or before the UN General Assembly in New York.
Pablo Rosenberg, Argentine-Israeli singer will take the stage after Miri Mesika, with a special performance combining his hits from a different time period.
The youth party will begin immediately after the performance (around 23:30) with local youth bands and a D.J. Rapper Nechi Nech will take the stage. His song “kol hazman hazeh” was chosen as song of the year by Galgalatz. Nechi Nech was chosen by the city’s youth in a special survey conducted by the Youth Department together with the Iriyah’s Youth Council.
22:00-01:00: Israeli dancing with dance instructor Dan Eini on the fairgrounds by the Azrieli Mall.

Maccabim-Reut Stage on the grassy area of the Mercaz Maccabi Olami
“70 Years is no Laughing Matter” - With the participation of one of the greatest entertainers of Israeli culture, Shlomo Bar-Aba, who will perform together with singer Dafna Dekel. This special show, which was produced for this event, features local bands and dance groups.
Another traditional event to be held this year is a public singing event around the bonfire at Givat HaBroshim, "Singing Independence", hosted by Yossi Lev, and with the participation of "Karibo's Friends." Under the direction of David Krivoshe.

21:00: Continuing with tradition for the religious community, the celebrations will begin with a performance by singer Yishai Lapidot followed by dancing accompanied by “Yaniv Cohen and Nosei Hakelim.”
